So is Ronaldinho the long haired flamboyant Brazilian really going to join Liverpool? A big club but struggling at this particular moment in time. The 30 year old definitely has quality in his feet but seems to have lost his meteoric rise to the top after he left Barcelona and is looking to rediscover the form which had him leading his national side and one of the biggest clubs in the world.

The rumours that started in an Italian gossip column have escalated to the clubs and players are even commenting on the deal. Liverpool struggling themselves going through a transitional period and could do with a player who could be their 'can opener' He is not getting into the A.C Milan side and is being kept out by a resurgent Robinho his fellow country man.

Remember we are talking about a man who won the Ballon D'or not player of the month in the premiership. The Ballon D'or is well respected and his name sits amongst the very best talents ever to grace this earth. This season however he finds himself in the running for what Italians call 'the golden dustbin' the players who have really underperformed.

Current Liverpool midfielder and fellow Brazilian team mate Lucas has said what a great addition he would be for the club 'Everyone knows Ronaldinho's quality and what he can do. Without doubt it would be a great boost for us.' Said last seasons Liverpool's young player of the year. A stumbling block for the deal could be his wage demands he will definitely have to take a drop in wages for Liverpool to afford him as his current 6.3 million a year surely can not be matched by Liverpool.

The Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson however has been playing down any talk of signing international superstars they are linked with such as Ronaldinho and Uruguayan striker Suarez.

"Ronaldinho and Suarez are players who we have never even thought about but I would think there is not a manager in the Premier League who has not given Ashley Young a thought at some stage or another," said Hodgson.
