They can be reintroduced one by one in order to discover which food item the patient is allergic to. Always consult with your doctor before tampering with your diet on such an extreme level. An undiagnosed condition might be placed under extreme stress if you were to begin a fast out of the blue. For most people, this will never be an issue but it is always recommended to be safe in this endeavor. The extreme calorie reduction of the first few days can cause many people to feel faint. Diabetics are strongly urged not to start a detox plan with out medical supervision. Also, children and teens could do more harm than good if they attempt such a diet. Their growing bodies should need a large amount of nutrients to develop properly. Most detox programs also include some sort of fiber pills. These should not, however, be the only supplement in the program. You should have some herbs, minerals and vitamins. Increase your water intake any time you increase your fiber intake. If you are a healthy adult, a detox diet should pose no problems for you. You should feel energized and get better sleep at night because your body is back in a more balanced state.
