For resistance you must use 2 fingers at the base of your neck so you can press inward very lightly. You can also lower your lip as far as you can, putting your fingers on your collar bone, directing the chin as high as practicable and then forcing the corners of your mouth down. Working on the chin can be done by tightening the muscle there as firmly as practicable then driving your lower lip up as though you are sulking so it turns white and dimpled.
