Most of us like to keep our homes clean and orderly. But it happens from time to time to leave the bedroom in a complete mess in one of those days which include waking up late for work, not deciding right away what to wear and leaving with a slice of bread in your hand. The clothes on the floor and the disarranged blankets on the bed are not a problem. Nevertheless, the condition you leave the kitchen or the bathroom in, might be one.

The idea of kitchen has started to interlace more and more with that of living-room. The reason is that it represents the place where all the members of a family get together in the evening, share the events in their day, cook dinner, watch TV or read the newspaper. Most of the times, you invite your friends to join you while making the coffee or a cup of tea. That is why this room needs to have a pleasant aspect at all times. Maintaining the bathroom properly sanitized is a measure of watching over the health of your family. It is the shiny clean room where you will always love to have a foam bath.

To keep these rooms looking lovely and being easy to clean you can use marble counter-tops. They fit perfectly in a place which encourages social life such as the kitchen, where they can be installed on bars or islands. These facilities help you move efficiently around your kitchen, while having a nice conversation with your children, partner or with a friend.

There is a wide range of colors you can find marble in. They vary from the purest white, to neutral beige and up to the black type. It is advisable to use the colored one for the kitchen, since it is likely to be affected by certain foods. The persistent stains will be less obvious on a brown marble counter-top.

Bathroom counter-tops can also be made of marble. Mounting your sink under the counter leads to an effect of uniformity, and to an easy to clean surface. In dark or small bathrooms you should choose white or creamy marble tiles to bring more light and to enhance the idea of space. These colors will also contribute to a sensation of perfect cleanness.
