Bakugan toys have become one of the hottest toys on the market. The toys are modeled after the TV animation series "Bakugan Battle Brawlers", which is about a group of kids that battle in duels using cards and monsters from another dimension called Vestroia in order to save the universe. Bakugan was created by the combined efforts of Sega Games and Spin Master, and follow the concept of the cartoon very closely. The cards from the game have the cartoon characters displayed on them just like the toys, that pop open to reveal a battle brawler when rolled out onto the field over the gate cards. As well as the games that came earlier like Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon, it is also a collectible card game that utilizes the marble concept as well. Each player takes turns attempting to stand one of their spheres onto the magnetic gate cards. Even though the cards can be collected and traded, it is the transforming monster toys that are used in the game that everyone likes. There are various kinds of spheres to collect, with more being added to the collection with the rise of the games popularity. The rules to the game are extremely simple, and very easy for any kid to understand if they are familiar with the cartoon. The players will alternate laying down their gate cards on the field, and then take turns rolling their Bakugan out onto the field to try and stand it on the cards. If they don't land on a card it is the other players turn. If the same player is able to land two of the spheres on a card, then the card is captured by that player and taken off of the field. If each player gets one of his battle brawler on the same card then they have to battle for it. The players then turn over the gate card, and add together the G points on the gate card to the G points of each sphere and determine who wins by following the instructions on the card. The winner captures the card. The first player with three cards wins the match. The game is very simple, and extremely fun too. Other rule variations can be used also. There are several other accessories that can be purchases to add to the Bakugan games experience, such as the battle brawler shooters and the battle arena. The battle arena explains the rules slightly different, but any rule variations to the game are acceptable as long as both players agree. About The Author: There are numerous collectible card games out there, but unlike it's predecessors, Bakugan Battle Brawlers have combined the old concept of marbles with the collectible card gaming to create a winning product that kids of all ages can enjoy.
