In my last article, I went over some great places to find materials for your next scrapbooking project, many of which were found in the home. While the home is a good spot to find these materials, sooner or later you're going to run out of places to look and things to use in your albums. To get ahold of more cheap scrapbooking supplies, I have come up with 1 or 2 more ideas to get more materials for your next album. Digital Resources One place that I have overlooked in my previous articles is the Net. This is a gold mine of places to get free and quite inexpensive materials. I am not talking about purchasing your materials from online craft shops, I am talking about websites where users just give away stuff for nothing. There are a bunch of sites, such as Freecycle, where folk have leftovers that they are glad to give away for nothing. These are typically such things as televisions and appliances that are now not used, but often folk give away boxes of materials, stitching items and additional fabric that is no longer used. Keep your eyes peeled and you can truly grab some good stuff. Scrapbooking Swaps This is one of my favorite methods of getting cheap and free scrapbooking materials. If you've got a bunch of pals or others interested in cheap scrapbooking, then you should actually think about organising a scrapbooking swap. This is a meet where everyone brings a box or boxes of left over materials, scraps and odds and ends and lays them out on one of the tables at the meet, or if there is no room, just leaves the box open for people to look through. You then go between the tables and other peoples boxes and take the things and materials you will be able to find a use for. This is a creatie way to get cheap scrapbooking materials, shed some extras that you can't use and meet up with new people (or catch up with old friends) and also its a load of fun! So there you have it, a few more great ideas to get some more cheap scrapbooking materials. I'm sure you cannot wait to use them!
