Every kid goes to some kind of school, whether it's private, or public, or a boarding school. Whatever type of school it is, the purpose of going to school is to learn, in whatever environment is best for you. So what if your child's best environment is right in your own living room?

If this is a problem for your child, home schooling may be the answer. Have you ever thought of home schooling? Some parents worry that it could be unhealthy to spend so much time with their children and they also worry about how it will affect their childrens social skills.

If home schooling is done correctly, both these issues should not be a problem. Lots of people choose to homeschool their children every day and the truth is there are a lot of advantages to doing so.

Why Should I Home School My Child?

There are literally loads and loads of reasons to homeschool your children. For a start you will be able to live closer as a family with your children spending more time with you.

You will have much, much more control over what your children learn. You will have to follow a curriculum, but you will still be allowed to teach your children additional things and go into more detail where you think it is necessary.

When a child is home schooled, that child has the advantage of an education that can be customized to them. You can teach your child in the way his or her brain best takes in knowledge and so he or she will have a massive advantage over other classically schooled children.

The need to constantly test your child's progress will be up to you, you decide whether testing on a regular basis is good or bad for your child.

Despite what some people may think, there are even social benefits with homeschooling! For a start your child will not have to experience peer pressure like other children do.

An additional social benefit will be the fact that your children not being forced to interact with a certain group of people, i.e. classmates, will choose friends in a more natural way (people who have their common interests). Also your children will mix with other kids of different age groups.
