But make no bones about it, the work load for a home business can be harder than you anticipated and the promised paths of gold may not eventuate.But the only way to try is to start part time, and if it works then jump in head first.But reading and researching all the time since you have to develop certain skills to help develop your ideas and passions.

The reason you are looking into make money from home ideas on the internet is because you are obviously trying to find a method that works online, rather than an offline method like mailing envelopes, which lets face it, sounds pretty boring.Obviously you can only make money two ways online.Selling a product or selling a service.

Now using the correct methods of search engine optimisation, a person has a potential of placing their website in front of 225 million English speakers on the internet, which comprises 45% of the Internet population.And thats from Nov 2001 from the United States Internet Council.An overlooked market is the monsterous chinese market which is second in viewing numbers to english readers.

For internet marketing, like other standard business formats there are only two key factors for you to research to see if you can make a living.Traffic levels which is defined as how many potential customers are there, and Visitor values, what is each of these potential customers worth.The problem with traffic levels is, a search for terms like jokes/pranks etc shows large traffic levels but with a near zero level of possible buyers.Now an often overlooked tool for examining a possible market is google adwords suggestion tool.

When using Google suggestion tool go to "results are tailored to.." and click edit and choose country.Type in your main keyword and tick "use synonyms" box.I personally dont tick "dont show ideas for new keywords.." for this method.We now see the "Approx Avg Search Volumne" for a monthly guesstimate.Then we literally look for the long tail keywords from the bottom up and see if we can find a decent search number.Then if we are going for the US market we enter United states google search and see what is the number of competitors are for each term.

To find the guesstimate numbers if you are testing google adwords suggestion tool we would search for "keywords" to find sites "aimed" around these specific keywords in title etc.To find customers "values" we next go to adwords tool in the left hand side and select the button "Show estimated Avg .CPC".We multiply traffic by cpc(value per visitor) and get "Total market value".Anything above 1.2 million dollars p/month is a lucrative market.Roughly speaking, when comparing 2 similar themed niches, the one with the highest "customer value" will always be more profitable.!Thats when you start to consider number and strength of your competitors.
