If you are thinking of investing in an outdoor fireplace, you have plenty of different choices available. You can have a custom one made for you out of granite or some other beautiful stone that looks like a traditional indoor fireplace. You could choose a fire bowl or even a fire pit if you fancy using it to cook on as well as for heating. You may even decide to buy a wood burning stove.

If you want a Mexican influence you could choose a chimney. A lot of people chose this option as it contains the fire, is quick to light and is protected from a slight rain shower. Traditional ones will be made from terracotta but this material doesn't weather our more severe climate that well. Instead you will often find them made from cast iron. This can look just as beautiful.

If you want a more modern effect in your garden, you may decide to choose a fire bowl made from stainless steel as your outdoor fireplace. They come in a variety of styles, some of which are more aesthetic i.e. they look great but provide little heat. They are also available in marble, granite and other stones, bronze and copper.

Regardless of which one you choose, you will benefit from being able to use your garden for more of the year. It is depressing enough when we say goodbye to the summer but with a fireplace you can continue to sit outside even on those cooler evenings. It can be extremely romantic to cuddle up with your loved one and enjoy the views of nature and the heat of the flames.

You don't need a huge backyard either as some outdoor fireplace models are quite small yet provide a decent amount of heat. Regardless of your budget or your sense of personal style, I am confident you can find a model perfect for your needs!
