As they say, if there's nothing wrong with it, don't fix it, right? It if works, no reason to change. This is the reason that having tiled bathroom floors are still the convention these days. Tiles are comfortable on both the eyes and our bare feet and it does so without getting slippery. Tiles are here to stay, even though other parts of the bathroom may advance.

However, when you have your bathroom floor tiled, you will notice that there is grout to be found in between the tiles. It does an important job of keeping your tiles together, even though it is not the main part of your bathroom surface. Without grout, you can't affix your tiles properly onto the floor. One must take note of the dangers grout may bring to prevent harm from befalling one's family.

Now, grout is mostly harmless when you keep it clean. But if you don't, then its porous nature will allow some harmful organisms to start thriving within it. Attack these germs and molds, and clean as often as you can. Don't forget to give the grout in between a good scrubbing to make sure that you get everything that you can get.

Sometimes, however, you will see that all the scrubbing that you do won't be of any good at all. How will you know when your cleaning skills are not enough? If you notice that all your efforts with scrubbing do not return the former color of your grout, then that is the time to call on professionals.
