Scope out the sites where the reception and the wedding will be held. Look for prime spots to get great shots of the happy couple during their dream day. You will need to catch the excitement of the day for them to look back upon.

Be sure to stay away from noisy equipment such as vending machines, air conditioners or anything else that may make noise in the background. Keep out of the photographers way. You will want to capture the best moments of the bride and the grooms day. These include the anticipated guests waiting for the lovely bride to come down the aisle for their first glimpse of her.

Get video of all the bride's maids and other wedding party people as they descend down the aisle also. Make sure to capture the father giving the bride to her beloved and the complete ceremony from start to finish.

Video the happy new husband and wife as they are introduced to the wedding guests at the altar and the the brisk run down the aisle in a flutter of rice or bird seed. If they are leaving to go to the reception in a car then get video of that driving off.

The happy couple cutting the cake and feeding it to one another, the couples toast to each other, throwing of the bridal bouquet and close up of who catches it as well as the groom taking off his new brides garter.

You can also add in your videos well wishes and happy marital advice for the new couple from guests. Go around the reception while everyone is partying and take random video for the couple to look back upon.

As the videographer you should know how to put in add ins such as music in some of the video background as well as color effects if asked for by the couple. You do not want their most memorable day looking like a cheaply made home movie.

You may also need equipment for lighting especially if filming indoors. This helps the video quality be even higher and video be more accurate as well as give you the perfect exposure.
