1. Cosmetic Routine to be followed before the important day

For that perfect glow on the wedding day, you want to consider a few things a fortnight prior to the wedding day. About six weeks before the wedding, you need to start a skin and nail care plan. Tell your beautician to give you regular facials and manicures.

Avoid going in sun about 3-4 weeks before the wedding. Sunburns and peeling skin shouldn't interrupt your wedding day.

2. Take care of your Body-Mind-Spirit

Always remember the significance of Body-Mind-Spirit. What is going on inside you is as critical as looking good. Everyone knows that getting prepared for a marriage is extremely stressed and if you are not taking care of yourself by not sleeping enough or not eating correctly, it will definitely reflect on your face!

If you're feeling really stressed before the marriage, consider having a chilled massage once each week in the month of wedding and also a day before the big day. Also, burn some relaxing essential oils round the house to help calm your nerves.

3. Trial

Organise a trial around 1-2 months before the marriage, once you have chosen your make-up artist.

Ask the make-up artist to show you one or two pictures from mags that will help you in deciding a look.

Tell her if you have any skin problems or allergies etc or if there are any actual ways you wear your make-up.

If you are marriage is during the daytime, it is good to organize the trial in the daytime as it'll give you a better idea as to the way the make-up will look

4. Have photographs your bridal ensemble and bridesmaid's dresses

If you show the make-up artist photos of your bridal dress and bridesmaids wedding gowns, it will give her/him the concept for designing the ideal look for you.

5. What look to go with

The style that you intend to select for your wedding make-up will at last rely on your private preference, but there are some other factors that you need to consider:

The time of the ceremony A lot depends on the time of the marriage. Is it during day time or in the evening? A delicate, natural look is more suited to a day marriage and a rather more striking look is suited to an evening one.

If you are blond or have a fair skinned, cool tones of grey, blue, soft pink and lilac are good for you.

If you are a brunette or olive skinned, warm neutral tones of brown, taupe, burgundy & red will suit you more.

6. Your Face

Foundations with yellow undertones work brilliantly with flash photography.

Avoid using sparkle highlighters as this look won't look well in photographs and give a reflective shine.

Ask your make-up artist to utilise a bronzing powder, it'll warm your skin tone and wll give your face a natural glow.

7. Your Eyes

The make-up around your eye-area should be soft and natural with no heavy, dark lines.

Employ a brow pencil which is a little darker than your hair colour and stay away from heavy, dark shadows.

8. Your Lips

Utilize a lip-liner which is of the same colour as your lipstick and do not employ a obvious or dark lip line, it looks tacky.

If you outline one area in your make-up, it'll look more pleasing. If you'd like dark and outlined eyes, go for a lighter lip shade and if you want bright lips, go for natural, light eyes.

Just remember these tips and you will look the most beautiful bride on your big day.
