1. Choose a reputable company. This is probably the most important tip for having reliable wedding day transportation. Make sure you choose a company that is going to provide you with great service, be on time, and get you there safely.

2. If you are not sure about a company, you can always ask for references from past clients, but usually you won't have to do that. By choosing a company that has been in business for a couple of years, you are going to make sure that you have everything covered.

3. Read the contract. Planning a wedding is a big thing, and you are going to have a ton contracts that you sign. After signing a contract for the caterer, reception hall and so on, you're probably going to think that they are all pretty standard. You are going to want to make sure that you read the contract for your chauffeur and car. The contract shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary, but you want to know what you're paying for and what's included in the package price. A lot of times, you might get a certain number of miles for free, and after 25 miles, for example, you may be paying an additional surcharge.

4. Remember you will have to pay a deposit. Check with the company when it is due and whether you can pay online or by check. I recommend that you send in your deposit as soon as you can in case someone else snaps up the car from under your nose.

5. Remember to bear in mind the time of year you are booking your wedding car. Getting a convertible car is all well and good but the weather is so important. So look at your calendar and think seriously whether it is worthwhile getting an open top car for the month of December if you are getting married then.

6. Take an accurate headcount. There is nothing worse than booking a car that holds six people only to find out that your wedding party has eight people plus the bride and groom. If you are going to provide transportation for the entire wedding party, make sure that you count everybody and make sure that your car or cars are going to be able to hold that many people.

7. Make sure your wedding car driver knows how long the wedding service will last for. You want to ensure that he is there waiting for you when you emerge from the church. If it is a rainy day you certainly dont want to be getting drenched in the rain.
