A woman taking part in the ceremony is called a bride, a man called a bridegroom, after the ceremony they become a wife and a husband, respectively. Other wedding traditions vary according to the religion, race, ethnic group and even class the couple may belong too.

Even in today's climate, the traditional Church wedding is still the most popular service. White weddings may be quite normal for those of us that live in the United States, UK, Ireland and the Commonwealth but they are not always accepted worldwide amongst Christian faiths.

A double wedding is a single ceremony where two couples rendezvous for two separate weddings. Typically, a person with a brother or sister might plan a double wedding with that sibling.

You will probably already know of a couple that decided on a destination wedding and asked the guests to travel to where they were staying and as a wedding option it can work out considerably less expensive this way.
