It is good for all men to know the different types of tuxedo's that are available in the market nowadays. This is because it is of great importance for men to dress appropriately on occasions where they are required to dress formally. There are a few things that you will need to consider before you decide to buy a tuxedo. Although, you can rent a tuxedo for that special occasion, it is always good to have at least one or two tuxedos in any man's wardrobe. It is always there, ready for you to wear, whenever the occasion calls for it.

While having a tuxedo in your wardrobe is ideal should you be invited to attend a formal affair, it is important to consider how frequently it will be worn. Tuxedos are expensive to purchase, and the quality of the material and style should be considered before making such an expensive purchase. It is, however, an investment into your wardrobe, so being sure to purchase the best possible quality which will also be resilient to wear and style changes is something to seriously think about before making the purchase.

Tuxedos worn in the daytime are generally light colored like gray and nighttime ones are usually black or dark blue. You should make sure that whichever one you wear for your occasion fits you properly and that the fabric has no holes anywhere.

Proper care is important in order for your tuxedo to last a lifetime. Try to inspect your tuxedo for any stains or anything that requires special attention before you head for any big event. Folding your tuxedo is generally not advisable if it is made of a very good quality material.

Your tuxedo can be worn with a pre-tied bow tie or the actual bow itself that you may have to learn and practice to wear that. Your tuxedo can also be worn with no tie if you are comfortable doing that. It you want a different look though a black tie will be perfect for you.

Most body types are well-suited for a single-breasted tuxedo. Men who are taller (generally over six feet tall) will look better in a double-breasted tuxedo. Double-breasted tuxedos come in three different styles: traditional double-breasted peak, double breasted notch, and double breasted shawl.

Finally, you should not wear both a vest and a cummerbund together. One or the other is fine. A cummerbund should be worn with the pleats facing upwards. A subdued color or pattern on your cummerbund is preferable if you are attending a formal event.
